Ingredients:
- 1 pizza dough
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 cups fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 475F 245C
Roll out the pizza dough into a thin circle on a floured surface
Transfer the dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet
Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough
Evenly distribute the mozzarella cheese slices on top of the sauce
Sprinkle minced garlic over the cheese
Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly
Remove the pizza from the oven and top it with fresh basil leaves
Drizzle olive oil over the pizza, season with salt and pepper to taste
