Creamsicle Ice Cream Cake



Vanilla cake, creamy vanilla ice cream, and sour orange sherbet come together in this Creamsicle Ice Cream Cake to make a delicious frozen dessert. It's great for summer parties or just when you want something cool to eat!

Ingredients:

  • 1 box vanilla cake mix
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 pints vanilla ice cream, softened
  • 1 pint orange sherbet, softened
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • Orange food coloring optional
  • 1/2 cup orange soda optional, for drizzling

Instructions:

Warm the oven up to 175F 350C

Butter and flour two round cake pans that are 9 inches in diameter

Mix the orange juice, water, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla cake mix together in a large bowl until everything is well mixed

Spread the batter out evenly in the cake pans that have been prepared, and then bake them according to the directions on the package

Allow to cool completely

Put one layer of cakes on a serving plate or cake stand after they have cooled

Put the softened vanilla ice cream and orange sherbet in a different bowl and mix them together until they are well mixed

If you want, you can add orange food coloring

Cover the first layer of cake with half of the ice cream mixture

Spread the rest of the ice cream mixture over the second cake layer after putting it on top

Stretch the cake out and freeze it for at least 4 hours or overnight until it is firm

Before you serve the cake, cover it with whipped topping

If you want to add extra flavor and style, you can drizzle orange soda over the whipped topping

Cut it up and serve it cold
